For the past five years, Elizabeth Lyon has worked as a geographer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center. From 2010 to 2011 she was fortunate to have a unique detail supporting the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Human Performance, Training and BioSystems Directorate within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Recently nominated to the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s Board of Directors, Lyon is looking forward to working with the Young Professionals and supporting the geospatial community. Lyon is currently completing her Ph.D. in computational social science at George Mason University. She has a masters of science in geography from University of Illinois and a bachelor’s degree in economics and French from Augustana College.
