Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence Working Group
USGIF’s January 2017 Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence (ML & AI) Workshop brought together more than 300 attendees from government, industry, and academia to discuss current challenges and strategic initiatives related to the role of artificial intelligence, machine learning, cognitive computing, and deep learning in geospatial intelligence.
The community was so energized by the event that the Foundation has launched a new working group to build on the momentum of the workshop. The Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence Working Group (ML&AI WG) is now developing its charter and plans to help the community capitalize on the meaningful advances already achieved in this area and support progress in tackling near-term hard problems through education, information sharing, workshops, forums, and other activities.
