This position requires data management support services in support of a government client agency. This client provides a full range of support in the production and dissemination of finished GEOINT products to a variety of DOD customers.

The successful candidate will be expected to serve as a general technical expert in ESRI ArcGIS 9.1/9.2/9.4/10 to assist the Branch members in creating new tools for ArcGIS projects, and act as conduits between the branches and tool developers.

You will also produce all weekly shapefiles, as well as organize significant data input from various reporting sources for the government client. They will manage branch data by updating the Enterprise shapefiles (daily/weekly), managing data structure, and the branch inbox.

Responsibilities include:
- Being responsible for standardize and facilitate TIR automation process, ISR data base automation and PPT extraction tools;
- Educating the Government client on GIS/database architecture and share expertise by delivering demonstrations, formal and informal training;
- Integrated and manage the branch data flow into the future division database;
- Identify emerging technologies/software, representing the branch at technology meetings;
- Serve as Liaison with over government offices to identify software and processes applicable to office specific methodology;
- Spearhead efforts to get ICE baseline exceptions, facilitate ArcGIS Tool development, data mining and be familiar with digital imagery and digital imagery processes.

This position will be for shift work.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
Do you have a current Top Secret (TS) security clearance or current Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access?

This position requires that you work out of Springfield, Virginia. Do you currently reside in the Springfield, Virginia area (where relocating would not be required) or are you willing to relocate at your own expense?

Typical Education/Experience:
Level 3 – Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Level 4 – Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
