Description:

The Space and Geospatial Intelligence Business Unit of SAIC has a current opening for a Sr Systems Engineer/Deployment Team

Job Description:
• Coordinate the fielding of NIES/NLE/WALA/NAT&TAC and/or DCM/DOE systems through scheduling of activities, delivery of hardware and software, documentation, and ensuring all logistic activities are in place.
• Coordinate with customers to prepare sites to receive project/segment to include: conducting site surveys; deployment scheduling; developing transition documents; conducting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs); and coordinating training, site testing, security, and O&M activities.
• Write programmatic documentation, coordinate meetings, track and follow up on action items, take meeting minutes, and facilitate meetings.
• Develop and review documentation following standard project management processes.
• Monitor project/segment development to maintain a knowledge of current status by attending program reviews, monitoring testing, and monitoring schedules.

Required Qualifications:
• Related professional experience must total 10 or more years of System Engineering, System Integration, and/or Project Management experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical degree, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with software/hardware systems that include one or more of the following; systems testing, deployment, transition planning/execution to operations and/or Operations and Sustainment (O&S) experience.
• At least 2 years of demonstrated experience as a task/project lead.
• Must be able to recognize potential problems/issues early and take the necessary steps to resolve.
• Strong oral presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with the Intelligence Community and IC products/usages
• Self-Starter and self motivator for completing tasks with minimal direction
• TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Willingness and ability to travel significantly, including overseas (25+%)

Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of our Customer’s Configuration Management (CM) processes
• Experience performing system engineering / system integration on our Customer’s systems or Mission Partner systems within the past 2 years
• Knowledge of existing Legacy NSG segments
• Knowledge and or experience working with Service Agencies.
• Knowledge of our Customer’s Readiness process
