USGIF Invitational
Although the day’s rain storms did not allow good weather, the USGIF Invitational still went on as planned at Pleasant Valley and South Riding Golf Courses. More than 150 GEOINT golfers from across industry, government and military participated and helped raise money for the USGIF Scholarship Program. Numerous prizes donated to USGIF were raffled off to lucky participants. Approximately $2,000 was raised on-site in raffle sales and registrations resulting in more than $8,000 in total contributions to the USGIF Scholarship Program.

Tech Days
The sixth annual Tech Days, produced by USGIF in cooperation with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, took place on Wednesday, May 19, and Thursday, May 20. NGA held the classified portion of Tech Days at its Bethesda, Md., headquarters. The day provided workforce and mission partners with a first-hand look at how GEOINT is improving integration and collaboration on the front lines, between allies and analysts, and for disaster relief and recovery missions. USGIF continued Tech Days with its unclassified USGIF Technology Day on Thursday, attracting more than 750 registered attendees plus hundreds of guests from AGIC, the Friends of ISR, the Army Engineer Association and the Advanced Technical Intelligence Association. Emerging technology presentations and an exhibit hall filled with the latest innovative technologies from 58 USGIF Member organizations provided attendees with insight on future GEOINT capabilities. The day concluded with a Community-wide networking reception with the Friends of ISR, ATIA, AEA, AGIC and the USGIF Members and partners.
