Herndon, Va. — The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) today announced that U.S. Marines Corps Gen. James E. Cartwright, commander of U.S. Strategic Command; U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Michael Ennis, deputy director for community human intelligence, CIA; retired Air Force Lt. Gen. James R. Clapper Jr., nominated to be the
undersecretary of defense for intelligence; and Ambassador Dennis Richardson, Australian ambassador to the United States; have all accepted invitations to participate as keynote speakers at the GEOINT 2007 Symposium. GEOINT takes place Oct. 21-24, 2007, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention
Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The annual GEOINT Symposium is the premier event for the intelligence community. Through keynote addresses, panel presentations and social events, attendees learn from and network with leaders throughout the Defense and Intelligence Communities and discover the latest technology developments from the government, military, academic and private sectors.
“USGIF is honored that these four distinguished members of the community will keynote the GEOINT 2007 Symposium,” said USGIF President and Chairman K. Stuart Shea. “Their presence on the stage will complement the many exciting panels and technology demonstrations and help make GEOINT 2007 the best symposium to date.”
Over the past three years, GEOINT has had the strong support and participation of the Pentagon and the Intelligence Community. Last year, a record 3,115 attendees had the unique
opportunity to hear from Director of National Intelligence Ambassador John Negroponte, Deputy Undersecretary for Intelligence Lt. Gen. William Boykin, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Director Vice Adm. Robert Murrett, 1st U.S. Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré,
former Central Command Commander retired Gen. Anthony Zinni, Department of Homeland Security Chief Intelligence Officer Charles Allen, and National Reconnaissance Office Director Dr. Donald Kerr.
In addition to the insightful keynote speakers, GEOINT offers a number of special events including an opening night welcome reception, the Allder Golf Classic, the GEOWalk Corporate Hospitality Night, and the Hall of Fame Dinner and Awards Banquet. This rich balance of educational sessions, compelling speakers, and opportunities for networking sets GEOINT apart from other exhibitions and conferences and truly makes it the Nation’s Premier Intelligence Event.
