USGIF's Dr. Camelia Kantor Participates at AAG Annual Meeting

USGIF’s Director of Academic Programs Dr. Camelia Kantor will be participating in the American Association of Geographers’ (AAG) Annual Meeting April 10-14 in New Orleans.

On April 11, Kantor will be leading a panel discussion on “Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER) Approach to Improve Geospatial Teaching and Learning.” Accompanying her on this panel are representatives from Boundless, Caliper Corp., Fayetteville State University, and the University of South Carolina. The same day, she will also moderate a panel on “Geospatial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities” with panelists from five universities.

Additionally on April 10 and 12, Kantor will engage in career mentoring sessions as a mentor, providing professional development information and advice for students and job seekers.
