Call for Volunteer Subject Matter Experts!

USGIF’s Certification Governance Board is undergoing a restructuring process through the end of 2019. In preparation for this reorganization, USGIF seeks individuals interested in advancing GEOINT as a discipline. The Foundation is seeking volunteer SMEs in the following areas:

Keepers of the GEOINT Essential Body of Knowledge (EBK)
USGIF maintains the GEOINT EBK. Individuals may be asked to assist with contributions, topic review, document maintenance and organization, editing, and industry/academic/government outreach. Assignments will be based on expertise in specific competencies. We are seeking individuals with experience in GEOINT subject matter, document management, desktop publishing, and pedagogy.

USGIF authors and maintains the “Essentials” entry-level exam and NCAA-accredited certifications in GEOINT at the prerequisite, foundational, applied, and mastery levels. We are seeking individuals with subject matter expertise who possess training or education in pedagogy, curriculum development, and have completed at least 18 hours of GEOINT or GEOINT-related coursework at the collegiate level.

Minimally, a candidate must have 3 to 5 years of experience in the GEOINT workforce, a bachelor’s degree in GEOINT or a GEOINT-related field (or a collegiate GEOINT certificate), and hold a certification/terminal degree in any GEOINT topic area. Ideal candidates will have earned USGIF certifications, have experience designing or delivering training and education solutions, and possess 5 to 12 years of experience in GEOINT competencies.
