Final Day to Register for USGIF's Geospatial & Remote Sensing Law Workshop

Lawyers, government contract administrators, and business leaders from across the geospatial community are invited to USGIF’s Geospatial and Remote Sensing Law Workshop Nov. 18 at the General Dynamics Information Technology Office in Springfield, Va., as part of USGIF’s 2015 GEOINT Community Week.

The half-day program on legal matters critical to the geospatial community will include three panels:

Government Contracts and Organizational Conflicts of Interest: Conflicts in an Increasingly Conflicted World will include expert analysis on conflicts of interest requirements and regulations, industry-based perspectives on how to conduct business in a conflict-laden industry, and alternative agency-level perspectives on how to best avoid, mitigate, and neutralize OCIs;

Government Contracts and Intellectual Property: Playing a Critical Role in Geospatial Contracting will analyze Intellectual Property (IP) laws and regulations that govern government contracts; industry-based perspective on how contractors can preserve their rights to IP; and, agency-level views on what license rights agencies need and what contractors can expect in the coming year;

Developments in Licensing Of Commercial Remote Sensing Satellites will analyze the existing licensing regime in the U.S. and the impact that proposed changes are likely to have on the geospatial community.
