USGIF is conducting an Item Validation and Standard Setting Working Group for its NCCA-accredited Certified GEOINT Professional (CGP) exams:
• Certified GEOINT Professional – Geospatial Data Management (CGP-D)
• Certified GEOINT Professional – GIS & Analysis Tools (CGP-G)
• Certified GEOINT Professional – Remote Sensing & Imagery Analysis (CGP-R)

One Standard Setting Working Group will meet virtually for each of the three CGP exams. Subject matter experts will be responsible to complete the following tasks:

1. Review the minimally acceptable candidate description
2. Review the CGP items (exam questions) from a content perspective
3. Provide initial ratings on the CGP items
4. Provide final review and ratings on CGP items

This opportunity is open to all GEOINT professionals ranging in experience, whether you are CGP certified or not. A total of eight SMEs will be selected for each Standard Setting Working Group.

• 2-3 SMEs from Academia
• 2-3 SMEs from Industry
• 2-3 SMEs from Government

Volunteers should expect to spend 8-10 hours to complete the activity over the course of one month.

This activity is worth up to nine Professional Development Units (PDUs) for individuals who hold a USGIF CGP certification. For volunteers who are not certified, you will be ineligible for one year to take the exam on which you evaluated.

If you’re interested in this opportunity, please provide your contact information no later than Friday, Feb. 9.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are selected to participate in one of the working groups, you will be formally notified via email.
