USGIF Participates in Academic Geospatial Events

On Feb. 28, USGIF’s Director of Academic Programs Dr. Camelia Kantor attended and spoke at the University of Southern California Spatial Sciences Institute’s Los Angeles Geospatial Summit. She gave a lightning talk and discussed the “Power and Potential of GEOINT.” Kantor also met with academic and industry attendees at the USGIF table to talk to them more about USGIF. Additionally, USGIF Board Member and founder and chief scientist of Senzing Jeff Jonas also attended and gave a keynote address at the event.

Kantor will also be participating in “The Impact of Applied Learning” conference at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, March 8-10. She is speaking on “Discipline-Based Education Research-an emerging approach to impactful teaching and learning in geospatial technologies and geospatial intelligence.”
