GEOINT Community Week Hugely Successful

More than 2,500 GEOINT professionals attended events during the 2010 GEOINT Community Week, held May 17-21 in the Washington, D.C. area. Attendees engaged in valuable networking opportunities during the USGIF Invitational golf tournament and GEOINT Community Week reception. The 2010 AGIC and Tech Days events also showed their significance within the community by breaking attendance records from previous years. Concluding the week’s events, the Motion Imagery Workshop attracted 200 attendees who came to hear from industry leaders about current and future trends.

From USGIF President Keith Masback: GEOINT 2010 Change in Venue

Last month the City of Nashville and surrounding areas of Tennessee experienced unprecedented rain and severe flooding. As the flood waters have receded and experts have been able to assess the full scope of the damage, it has become apparent that the recovery will take far longer than the original projections. We’ve mutually agreed that the potential risk to the success of the GEOINT Symposium was too great, and we at USGIF have decided to change the venue for this year’s symposium. The dates will stay the same, Nov. 1-4, but GEOINT 2010 will now be in New Orleans.
