Scott is from San Jose, California, and was commissioned as an Armor officer in the U.S. Army upon graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1990. He has led at every level from platoon through Division Command. As the 49th Chief of Armor at Fort Benning, Georgia, Scott was charged with ensuring the Army’s maneuver forces were prepared for the future fight – and now, he’s leading the effort to understand that fight, and ensure the Army has what it needs to win. This assignment is his third “tour” in Texas and follows leadership and command positions in Iraq, Korea, and the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility
