Andie Tursi
USGIF
Vice President, Content and Communications
A lifelong storyteller with an affinity for technology, Andie Tursi specializes in strategic communications for mission-driven organizations.
Andie has been part of the GEOINT community since 2019 and brings more than 25 years of professional writing experience to USGIF.
She previously served as Director of Marketing and Communications at Cesium, a leading 3D geospatial software company and USGIF member. With an approach centered on authenticity and organic growth, she guided Cesium’s communications through its five-year journey from spinout to acquisition, elevating the brand from startup to trusted thought leader in the geospatial community.
Before joining Cesium, Andie spent over a decade in development marketing and communications at the University of Pennsylvania, contributing creative direction, digital strategy, and speechwriting support for two multi-billion-dollar fundraising campaigns.
Working at the intersection of art and business, she applies elements from the craft of fiction writing to her professional work, developing strategies that use narrative to highlight impact, inform audiences, and inspire action.
Andie is a long-time member of Philadelphia literary fiction collective, The Rittenhouse Writers Group, and her work has appeared in magazines and in the anthology The Best Short Stories of Philadelphia (2021). Her short story Exuvia (Bryant Literary Review, 2023) was adapted into a film that screened at U.S. festivals in 2024 and 2025.
Andie holds a BA from Villanova University and two master’s degrees in creative writing from the University of Pennsylvania. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, she lives in the city with her family, where she continues to write and teach in her spare time.
