Purpose:
USGIF establishes its Front Range Area Community of Interest (FRAC) to bring together professionals from the government (both federal and local), military, industry, and academia communities to increase awareness of the GEOINT ecosystem on the Colorado Front Range and drive mission, collaboration, and networking.
Objectives:
- Community awareness of the regional presence of Government (Fed/DoD/Civ/State), Academic, and Industry entities. Greater awareness is expected to spark collaboration and more productive engagements and partnerships.
- Collaboration of “geospatial-first” entities with “space-first” entities to realize greater velocity for the extended ecosystem to foster more innovation and value for the contributors.
- Provide a network of partners, customers, and talent for small technology businesses with Colorado-based staff to provide mission-ready products and services that government can use more readily in their mission space.
- Offer resources and opportunities for K-12 educators and administrators to tap into USGIF and then FRAC network to enhance their curriculum and stimulate interest in geospatial disciplines.
