Student Poster Competition

The GEOINT Symposium 2027 Student Poster Competition highlights student research connected to the GEOINT discipline. USGIF encourages undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students from all fields of study to share their research and apply.

Present your work to GEOINT leaders and practitioners from across government, industry, and academia. 

Earn recognition 

The top three posters are recognized from the Symposium Main Stage, and the first-place winner is invited to return and present their research at GEOINT 2028.

Students whose posters are selected receive complimentary registration to GEOINT Foreword and GEOINT Symposium.

  • Applications Open: January 20, 2027 
  • Application Deadline: March 3, 2027  at midnight EST
  • Eligibility Requirements: Open to current undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students. 
    • Students from any college or university are welcome to apply.  
    • Students from all fields of study are eligible, but submitted research must have a clear connection to GEOINT.  
    • Students whose posters are selected must present their research during designated poster sessions at GEOINT Foreword on Sunday, May 16. 
    • Presenters are responsible for their own travel and lodging.

How to Apply

Applications open January 20, 2027, and close March 3, 2027. Applicants will be asked to submit an application that includes their field of study, poster title, poster abstract, etc.
