Jeff Lavine

Chief of Staff
Jeff Lavine is the Chief of Staff at the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), bringing over two decades of experience in nonprofit management. Before joining USGIF, he spent 16 years at the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), where he most recently served as Vice President for Development and Management. In this role, he oversaw INSA’s governance, financial and operational health, and revenue generation.
Earlier in his career, Jeff was Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing at the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), where he transformed the organization’s membership newsletter into a revenue-generating magazine, earning two peer-selected awards.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from American University’s Kogod School of Business. He also earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
A third-generation Washingtonian, Jeff is a dedicated but often heartbroken DC sports fan.
