Marcus Young

Marcus R. Young currently serves as the production chief at Hurlburt Field FL, for Special Operations Forces Planning, Rehearsal, and Execution Preparation (SOFPREP). Part of USSOCOM J3, SOFPREP mission is to produce enhanced GEOINT data and 3D scene visualization products in support of SOF mission training, preparation and rehearsal requirements. Prior to joining SOFPREP as a DoD civilian in 2018, Marcus served as an intelligence officer for over 20 years in the U.S Army in a wide variety of assignments, including USSOCOM, NATO, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. He also had several combat and operational deployments throughout his military career. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University and a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University. Marcus and his wife reside in Navarre, Florida, and are the proud parents of four children.
