Tom Jones

Tom Jones is the VP of Sales and Programs for Urban Sky, a Series B-funded dual-use tech start-up based in Denver, CO. Urban Sky’s mission is to operationalize the stratosphere with tactically-deployable micro High-Altitude Balloon (mHAB) platforms that provide low SWaP-C ISR and Comms capabilities directly to DoD operators. Tom has worked for nearly 20 years in the geospatial industry with a focus on empowering government and commercial users with insights derived from high-resolution imagery, data, and analytics. Previous to Urban Sky, Tom worked at Digital Globe/Maxar Technologies, and a division of what was ITT Defense/Exelis before the acquisition by L3Harris. Since 2019, Tom has also been a mentor to startups in the Techstars Space incubator, helping CEOs of young companies best position their capabilities to secure their first customer commitments.
