The 2025 GEOINT Symposium, happening May 18-21 in St. Louis, MO, invites thought leaders and innovators from the GEOINT community to present in this year's Lightning Talks. If you have an idea or project that could challenge perspectives and drive change, this is your stage.

Why Lightning Talks?

Held at the Innovation Hub on the Exhibit Hall floor, these 5-minute presentations are the perfect opportunity to get your ideas noticed. Whether it's a breakthrough technology, a successful initiative, a powerful lesson learned, or a fresh approach to a complex issue, each talk aims to impact the GEOINT community. Quick, focused, and high-energy, Lightning Talks are about sparking new ideas and connecting with others who share your vision.

Who Can Apply?

We’re calling on USGIF Organizational Members, Individual Members, and Academic Partners/Accredited Schools to submit proposals. This isn’t about sales—it's about substance. Sales pitches will be disregarded in the review process.

We're seeking proposals that:
  • Inspire thought and innovation
  • Are practical and relevant to the GEOINT mission
  • Align with the 2025 theme: Building a Secure Tomorrow Together

A limited number of slots are available, so make sure your idea stands out!

How to Apply

Complete the 2025 Lightning Talk Application by January 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PT.

If selected, you'll be responsible for symposium registration, travel, and lodging.

Lightning Talks will take place during the following times:

  • May 19-20, 12:30 – 4 p.m. CT
  • May 21, 12:30 – 2 p.m. CT
