USGIF announced this week at its GEOINT 2019 Symposium that it has partnered with Dun & Bradstreet to offer a new academic scholarship to advance geospatial data science understanding and capabilities.

At USGIF’s GEOINT 2019 Symposium, the 2019 Lt. Michael P. Murphy Award in Geospatial Intelligence was awarded to Capt. Katherine Meckler of the U.S. Air Force.

The USGIF Awards Program annually recognizes the exceptional work of the geospatial intelligence tradecraft’s brightest minds and organizations pushing the community forward. Award winners are nominated by their colleagues and selected by the USGIF Awards Subcommittee.

USGIF announced Dr. Annette J. Krygiel as the 2019 recipient of the Foundation’s Arthur C. Lundahl-Thomas C. Finnie Lifetime Achievement Award.

This morning at USGIF’s GEOINT 2019 Symposium, Jaclyn Guz was recognized as the recipient of the Foundation’s Stu Shea USGIF Endowed Scholarship.

USGIF selected 30 individuals for its Young Professionals Golden Ticket Program. This program is an exclusive opportunity for young professionals, 35-years-old and under or with five or less years of experience in the GEOINT Community, to receive complimentary GEOINT Foreword and GEOINT 2019 Symposium registration.

USGIF is pleased to announce its accreditation of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Indiana, Penn., under its Collegiate Accreditation Program. This latest accreditation brings the total of USGIF-accredited colleges and universities to 17.

USGIF published version 2.0 of its Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Essential Body of Knowledge (EBK). The GEOINT EBK is the foundation for USGIF’s efforts to create a pipeline for the global GEOINT workforce via its K-12, Collegiate Accreditation, and Certified GEOINT Professional (CGP™) programs.
