Tradecraft Working Group at GEOINT Symposium 2026 Smarter GEOINT: Balancing Human Judgment and Automated Power

Tradecraft Working Group

Monday, May 4 | 3:00–3:45 p.m.

The question is no longer whether to automate. It’s how to do so without losing the value of expert judgment.

That tension sits at the center of the Tradecraft Working Group session at GEOINT Symposium 2026. The group is authoring a white paper to help leaders and practitioners decide how much GEOINT operations should be automated, across quality, speed, and volume, and where human expertise remains indispensable. This session will present the work in progress and invite attendee input to shape the final paper.

Working group sessions are open to all registered attendees.
