USGIF Working Groups Welcome New Leaders

We’re excited to announce new leadership across two USGIF Working Groups.

Following its launch at GEOINT Symposium 2026, the Maritime Domain Awareness Working Group (MDAWG) will be led by inaugural co-chairs Eric Anderson, CEO and Co-Founder of SynMax Inc., and Tim Waltz, Vice President, Sensors and Systems at Riverside Research.

MDAWG will focus on advancing GEOINT capabilities that help the community better detect, monitor, understand, and respond to activity across the maritime domain. The group will provide a forum for government, industry, and academic partners to explore mission needs, emerging technologies, data integration, analytic approaches, and operational challenges shaping maritime domain awareness and security.

We also welcome Jay M. Moeder, Managing Principal at Moeder6 Consulting LLC, as a new co-chair of the Tradecraft Working Group.

The Tradecraft Working Group focuses on strengthening the methods, standards, and professional practices that underpin GEOINT. Through collaboration across the community, the group helps identify evolving tradecraft needs, share best practices, and support the continued development of GEOINT as a discipline.

USGIF Working Groups bring together government, industry, and academic professionals to advance the GEOINT tradecraft, address mission challenges, and strengthen the broader community. We appreciate these leaders for volunteering their time and expertise in service to the GEOINT community.
