Johanne Lecomte

Johanne Lecomte has more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunication and satellite industry. She is currently President of NorthStar Earth and Space Inc., the first commercial enterprise to monitor all near-Earth orbits from space and combine data from a variety of ground-based sensors to provide more extensive coverage.

Previously she was Vice-President North America for Thales Alenia Space North America, in Arlington, VA, responsible for increasing revenues in all business lines, including Telecom, Earth Observation and Sciences, Exploration and Navigation.

Prior to Thales Alenia Space, she held several executive positions, as Member of the Executive Committee and Vice-President of Sales, Marketing and Communications at International Launch Services (ILS) and Vice-President Sales and Marketing at Airbus Defense and Space (ADS) and served on various Industry Boards. She also occupied leadership positions at Telesat, Amos by Spacecom, Dynegy, Teleglobe International and Bell Canada. Throughout her career, she conducted various in-country Business Development projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Johanne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Ecole Polytechnique and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/International Program Management (MBA/MSEE), from Sherbrooke University in Canada.
