Purpose:
The USGIF Small Business Advisory Working Group (SBAWG) is intended to help USGIF small business member organizations improve competitiveness and prepare for success in the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) industry and related markets. The SBAWG will accomplish this by providing venues; discussion forums; and opportunities to discuss issues and opportunities unique to SBAWG member companies.
Objectives:
- Plan and coordinate activities promoting the capabilities of USGIF small businesses to Government agencies procuring GEOINT and GEOINT-support products and services.
- Facilitate outreach opportunities and introductions for small businesses to collaborate with potential government buyers.
- Plan and coordinate activities to promote increased education and insight into a variety of processes for improving competitiveness as a small business in contract awards.
- Plan and facilitate events that foster business-to-business (B2B) relationships and potential partnerships between companies of all sizes.
- Offer a forum for collective discussion on small business barriers to procurement opportunities and mitigation methods to support increased contract awards.
