Manuela McCabe is Lead GEOINT Analyst for the newly established Climate Security Cell at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. She works on developing GEOINT approaches to reporting on climate security for NGA, the Intelligence Community and USG Policy Makers. Before her current role, she was an Image Scientist in NGA’s Office of Sciences and Methodologies under the Analysis Directorate and where she helped bring the utilization of Google Earth Engine (GEE) to NGA for reporting on food and water security issues. Prior to her career in government and with NGA, she worked for World Resources Institute (WRI) and also as a contractor on several USAID projects as a Remote Sensing Specialist. Ms. McCabe graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Geography/GIS and has a M.A. in GIS for Development and Environment from Clark University.
