Head of Geospatial
In November 2019, Sebastien joined Unity to spearhead the creation of the Geospatial Group, responsible for bridging the world of geographic information systems (GIS) and real-time 3D.
Just prior to joining Unity, Sebastien was responsible for product strategy for synthetic terrain creation and visualization tools for training, simulation and geospatial intelligence applications at Presagis (CAE).
Sebastien brings over 25 years of experience leading 3D strategy in various industries, including video games, animation, visual effects, biomedical visualization, AEC, and defense and security. After managing the engineering group responsible for production tools and game engine technology at Ubisoft, he joined Autodesk to create its Games Technology group.
An entrepreneur at heart, he has also co-founded four software startups including Kaydara, the company that developed the Oscar-winning MotionBuilder animation software and the FBX file format, now part of Autodesk.
Sebastien holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science specializing in Biomedical Visualization.
