Analysis Computer Vision Orchestrator in the Analysis Tradecraft and Technology Group


Suzanne Alessi serves as the Analysis Computer Vision Orchestrator in the Analysis Tradecraft and Technology Group, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.  In this role she is responsible for developing strategies to identify, implement, and govern computer vision capabilities for NGA’s missions. She leads the Analysis contributions to GEONT AI/ML/CV tradecraft standards and governance frameworks.

Prior to this, she served as a Computer Vision Subject Matter Expert, leading efforts to evolve tradecraft at NGA for the successful adoption of computer vision applications. She also served as a Strategic Sciences Lead, building partnerships and shaping initiatives with commercial GEOINT data and analytics providers.  Ms. Alessi’s background is in imagery science, and she served as a radar imagery scientist in NGA’s Analysis Directorate for four years, analyzing radar data and supporting tradecraft development and training for radar imagery.

Ms. Alessi has a bachelor’s degree in Earth and Planetary Science from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s in Information Systems from George Mason University, with a focus on artificial intelligence and computer vision.
