Mr. Roberts joined Maxar in 2022 as a Senior Director. He serves as the lead for Intelligence Community (IC) and related Military Intelligence support programs within Maxar Mission Solutions. He’s responsible for maximizing Maxar’s value to its customers, their missions, and their current and future needs, with a specific focus on the National and Defense Intelligence communities. He leads, influences, and drives transformational initiatives to revolutionize and optimize current and future Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities (including remote sensing, analytics, and automation methods). The goals of these activities are to reduce data to decision timelines to minutes/seconds and vastly increase information superiority for all missions and users – from senior decision makers, to warfighters, and intelligence and mission analysts.
Mr. Roberts’ 42-year career in National Security, Intelligence Community, and Department of Defense includes 22 years of military service, 16 of civil services, and four years in industry. He culminated his civilian career as the Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation, and Augmentation senior executive lead for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and as the principal geospatial lead within the Office of the Director for National Intelligence (ODNIs) Augmentation of Intelligence with Machines (AIM) initiative – an IC, DoD, and whole of government AI initiative. Throughout his career he’s held numerous military and civilian positions in a variety of roles at tactical, operational and theater command headquarters levels, as well as service staffs, national agencies, and national senior decision maker levels. His numerous positions within the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) community spanned intelligence analysis, collection management, operations, planning and programming, training, resource and human capital management and advanced science and technologies activities. His service includes 16 years of overseas assignments, in the Pacific, Asian, and European regions. Mr. Roberts civil and military awards include the Meritorious Civilian Service Medal, Superior Civilian Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), and Meritorious Service Medal.

Mr. Roberts is a 2016 graduate of the National War College, with a Master of Science in National Security Studies, and a graduate of University of Maryland University College with Master of Science in Technology Management, Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science degrees. He served as a member of Defense Acquisition Core with Defense Acquisition level 3 certifications in Program Management and Science and Technology Program Management.
