While leadership is key to organizational success, women are not always equally represented. Women tend to rise to middle management and then experience being promoted slowly, with even fewer women representing on boards and as members of the C-suite. Women receive 57% of all higher education degrees. We look to examine and discuss that disconnect.

In order for institutional change and equal representation to occur in the workplace, education and action need to be taken at all levels and by everyone throughout the workplace. By understanding the challenges and barriers that women leaders face, women and men can begin to chip away at how to solve this complex issue and make strides toward lasting change.

Workshop Overview

These workshops highlight the severity of gender inequality in the workplace, the negative implications for business, the challenges and barriers that women leaders face, offer tools and strategies that can be integrated immediately to overcome these barriers, and provide recommendations on how organizations can support women leaders to make lasting change.

By attending these workshops, participants will better understand the phenomena of the double bind, the confidence gap, imposter syndrome, and challenges related to negotiation and communication. Participants will also learn about descriptive and prescriptive bias, strategies to overcome these common challenges, and ways all leaders can support moving the needle on this critical issue.

Who should attend:

Attendees of all genders and levels of experience will benefit from participating in these workshops to learn how to support women in overcoming barriers and create an environment to make lasting change.
