Retired Lieutenant General Mary A. Legere, former Senior Intelligence Officer for the U.S. Army, is a Managing Director at Accenture Federal Services (AFS), focusing on bringing Accenture’s global capabilities, services and fed-fit best practices to national defense intelligence and cyber clients.

Joining Accenture Federal Services in October 2016, Mary brings 34 years of experience leading intelligence, security and cyber organizations, including directing the Army’s enterprise of 58,000 intelligence professionals, commanding the Army’s 17,000-person global Intelligence Command, and serving as the Senior Military Intelligence Officer in Iraq and the Republic of Korea.

As the G2, she drove the development and execution of the U.S Army’s multi-billion-dollar Strategic Plan, expanding the Army’s Cyber forces, modernizing the Army’s Aerial and Ground ISR fleets, and driving the effort to improve the Army’s global intelligence information architecture, including setting conditions for Army migration into the U.S. Intelligence Community Cloud.

Today, in addition to bringing the best of Accenture to Defense and Intelligence clients, she serves as the Chairwoman of the National Military Intelligence Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to mentoring students and young professionals who aspire to join the U.S. Intelligence Community, and serves as a advisor to several intelligence and cyber organizations. In 2018, she was awarded the 2108 Women in Technology Award for Excellence and the AFCEA Gol Shield of St. Isidore Award for distinguished service to national security and the cyberspace community.

Legere holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Mass Communication from the University of New Hampshire (UNH), Masters’ Degrees in Military and National Strategy from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and U.S. Army War College and an honorary Doctorate of Letters from UNH.
